In August of 2006 I visited the MGM Mirage Dolphin Habitat with a friend of mine. It had come to our awareness that there had been a newborn dolphin. Naming him Sgt Pepper after the Beatles and the Circa so lei Love attraction currently being held there.

This was the first time I had seen a dolphin in person. She and I watch as the dolphin, his mother, and the other pod of dolphins swam in the ponds. It was a very emotional moment for me.

Two years later, I am informed that the young but majestic creature passed away (3 weeks ago) from lung infection complications.

This young one has been a focus of many of my dolphin photographs.
